Aimed at keeping the students safe as in-person classes resume, the Vacc 2 School: Ligtas na Bakuna para sa Balik Eskwela campaign was launched this morning, September 7, at Pilar Elementary School. The campaign also aims to educate and engage the people in promoting the immunization drive of each LGU to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
A total of 150 elementary students with parental consent were vaccinated. This number is about 60% of the total student population of the said school. The campaign is a collaboration among the Department of Education Bataan, Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB), Local Government Units, and Department of Health.
Dr. Joseph S. Dizon, principal of Pilar Elementary School; Pilar Vice Mayor Cecilia Garcia; Councilor Raffy Alcantara; PSDS Pilar District Teresita R. Ordiales; Dr. Roland Fronda, OIC Schools Division Superintendent; Dr. Roberto G. Luneta; Dr. Rosanna Buccahan, Provincial Health Officer; former Board Member Guding Ferrer, and Punong Barangays of Pilar led the program launching.
Coinciding with the program launching is the distribution of school supplies to the students, an annual program of the Provincial Government of Bataan.
